There are at least two things that are unique about this Leader's Guide.......

                 1. A QUESTIONNAIRE AHEAD OF EACH CHAPTER TO CAPTURE OPINIONS.

                           
  
                 2. HOMEWORK TO UNDERLINE (OR HIGHLIGHT) SENTENCES THAT STIMULATE
                     THE READER.  

     These two strategies taken together are designed to let the group’s interests be the focal point for the discussion agenda. This takes the load off the discussion leader to invent an agenda for each session. 

     The questionnaire can be managed ahead of time via E-Mail so the leader can know in advance the mindset of the participants and prepare for discussion from the data he/she receives. 

     The underlined sentences can be used to introduce ideas into the discussion during the session.

     There are PowerPoint slides accompanying the Leader’s Guide that can be used at the leader’s option to add structure to the gathering if need be.  The experience of the author has been that the input from the students is much more valuable than a structured approach to small group discussion.
